Elisabeth Irwin
Board Chair
Elisabeth is a native of Atlanta and a graduate of the University of North Carolina and Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Her experience in marketing strategy and project management ranges from roles in the White House to directing a fledgling children’s book award foundation, to launching a successful commercial art consulting business. In recent years, however, Elisabeth has deployed her management skills to the household she shares with her husband, Jim, and their three busy children. Elisabeth and Jim share a passion for creating and supporting spaces that foster community, healing, and human thriving. This vision moved Jim to start New City Properties, a non-commodity real estate development firm, in 2016, and has propelled Elisabeth into numerous volunteer roles at church and at the Westminster Schools, where she just completed a term as president of the parents’ association, and serves as administrator of White Parents Confronting Racism, a group experience in which parents learn to notice and dismantle racism in themselves and their communities. Elisabeth is a founding member of Atlanta Westside Church and, with her family, has been active at PAWKids since its opening. She brings to the Board of Directors a special interest in building strategic local partnerships to support the PAWKids mission and to draw an ever-larger circle of Atlantans into the redemptive and glorious work that God is doing through PAWKids.
